A celebration of Sierra's life was held at First Baptist Church in Fredericksburg on Wednesday, December 23. To see 5-minute video tribute, click here.
In the early morning of Monday, December 21, 2009, Sierra ended her battle with the monster that goes by the name of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (or PPH). PPH is a disease of unknown origin that chokes off the pulmonary artery, preventing oxygen from entering the blood and causing the heart to overwork itself. Sierra fended off several bouts with this beast, including a double lung transplant.
Those of us who know her, those of us who have been inspired by her, will never forget her.
